Wildlands in the West are those places relatively untouched by destructive human activities. Wildlands have their own volition, their own will, their own wild character informed by the natural communities and processes that occur in the absence of human intervention.
WildLands Defense recognizes the profound value of these places and communities of life. We strive to extend legal designations that protect these characteristics into the future, and we also work to curtail human incursions that diminish and destroy the existing wild character of the land regardless of designation.
Check back soon for updates on WLD’s ongoing efforts to preserve the wild character of the land in the West.
