While the media focuses on interviewing carping ranchers at the Ammon Bundy and militia thug seizure of Malheur Wildlife Refuge, the Beef Barons with real political clout are escaping notice.

An excellent article: like Counterpunch’s motto, it “Tells the Facts, Names the Names”. Most Americans have little or no idea what is happening to their public lands because they are kept in the dark by corporate media. That anti-guvmint “conservatives” have their panties in a twist because their demands for ever greater subsidies (at tax-payer expense) are not being met fast enough, is just too rich.
Thanks for the insight Natalie and keep ’em coming.
From one really tiekcd off NRA Life Member in regards to Wild Lands:While 3310 may work for states that don’t have much wilderness, it just fuels the extremists in states like California. Take a look at a land ownership map of California, between the various government agencies, the majority of our desert lands are spoken for already, We’re fighting over little pieces now. 3310 is a leftist biased plan to take most of what is left from us. It claims public input, but at present that input is only to illegally declare more wilderness without a vote of Congress. Tell Secretary Salazar YOU want it in your state, not the rest of the country like in California. Please amend your statement to EASTERN STATES AND COLORADO WANT WILDLANDS, APPLY IT ON A STATE BY BASIS. Simple enough. Keep them from closing the few open places left in California. We’re second in the US of A in wilderness acres after Alaska. That includes our shootin’ places also, many which are gone due to wilderness areas and general California left handed actions. Don’t give them any more tools to lock us down with.Respectfully,DaveSave Californias Deserts for the American Citizens
